Our Films are about People and Places. We are obsessed with Process. We document projects from site, to beyond final completion, capturing light, texture, and detail whilst remaining attuned to context.

Founded by Architect Dion Barrett, Architecture.Film is an Architectural Filmmaking studio dedicated to exploring the narratives that shape our built environment.

People are always at the heart of our films. We focus on capturing natural authentic stories, from the people who make and inhabit our built environment.

We are obsessed with process. Sketches. Models. Samples. Renders. Research. Prototypes. Educating the viewers by revealing the thoughtful decisions that shape every project.

Craftsmanship, materiality, and structural logic. Celebrating the beauty of construction highlights how forms are assembled to create meaningful spaces.

Details and tectonics. Materiality and texture. Revealing the tactile qualities by capturing the interplay of light and surface.

Context is vital—it reveals how a building responds to its environment, integrates with its community, and enriches its setting. As qualified drone pilots, we capture the context to reveal the relationship between subject and setting.

Dion Barrett (ARB) is an Architect turned Filmmaker.  He has dedicated his professional life to documenting Architecture, and was recognised as a RIBAJ Rising Star in 2024 for this pursuit. His film ‘Village Stories’ also took home the inaugural ‘Architects Journal communications initiative of the Year’ award the very same year.
