Gardeners Pond House is a contemporary extension to a residence in Birmingham. This project introduces a black aluminium-panelled addition that appears to float over an expanded pond, creating a seamless connection between the interior living spaces and the lush garden.

The film follows a day in the life of the two gardeners as they tend to the garden by day, and relax for a drink on their cantilevered jetty in the evening.

The project was designed by the very talented team at Intervention Architecture, who were my first ever client. As serial collaborators we also crafted a film to celebrate their 10 year anniversary called ‘More than 10'.
