Westminster Hall, the oldest part of the Palace of Westminster, has recently completed a decade-long conservation project led by Donald Insall Associates, safeguarding its legacy for future generations.

Built in 1097, this Grade I-listed hall has stood at the heart of British history, hosting momentous events from coronations and state trials to the Queen’s lying-in-state.

Told through the voices of Practice Director Patrick Duerden and Senior Architect Bethany Redmond, the film explores the comprehensive conservation effort, addressing both the structural integrity and the historic fabric of the hall.

The use of physical samples from the project enriches the storytelling, giving viewers a deeper understanding of the meticulous work and expertise of Donald Insall Associates.
